【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardisoneofasetofinternationalstandardsproducedtofacilitatetheinterconnec-tionofcomputersandterminalsonaLocalAreaNetwork(LAN).Itisrelatedtotheotherinternationalstan-dardsbytheReferenceModelforOpenSystemsInterconnection(OSI).NOTE—heexactrelationshipofthelayersdescribedinthisInternationalStandardtothelayersdefinedbytheOSIReferenceModelisunderstudy.ThisInternationalStandarddescribesthefunctions,features,protocol,andservicesoftheLogicalLinkCon-trol(LLC)sublayerintheISO/IEC8802LANProtocol.TheLLCsublayerconstitutesthetopsublayerinthedatalinklayer(seefigure1)andiscommontothevariousmediumaccessmethodsthataredefinedandsupportedbytheISO/IEC8802activity.SeparateInternationalStandardsdescribeeachmediumaccessmethodindividuallyandindicatetheadditionalfeaturesandfunctionsthatareprovidedbytheMediumAccessControl(MAC)sublayerineachcasetocompletethefunctionalityofthedatalinklayerasdefinedintheLANarchitecturalreferencemodel.ThisInternationalStandarddescribestheLLCsublayerservicespecificationstothenetworklayer(Layer3),totheMACsublayer,andtotheLLCsublayermanagementfunction.Theservicespecificationtothenet-worklayerprovidesadescriptionofthevariousservicesthattheLLCsublayer,plusunderlyinglayersandsublayers,offertothenetworklayer,asviewedfromthenetworklayer.TheservicespecificationtotheMACsublayerprovidesadescriptionoftheservicesthattheLLCsublayerrequiresoftheMACsublayer.Theseservicesaredefinedsoastobeindependentoftheformofthemediumaccessmethodology,andofthenatureofthemediumitself.TheservicespecificationtotheLLCsublayermanagementfunctionpro-videsadescriptionofthemanagementservicesthatareprovidedtotheLLCsublayer.Alloftheaboveser-vicespecificationsaregivenintheformofprimitivesthatrepresentinanabstractwaythelogicalexchangeofinformationandcontrolbetweentheLLCsublayerandtheidentifiedservicefunction(networklayer,MACsublayer,orLLCsublayermanagementfunction).Theydonotspecifyorconstraintheimplementa-tionofentitiesorinterfaces.ThisInternationalStandardprovidesadescriptionofthepeer-to-peerprotocolproceduresthataredefinedforthetransferofinformationandcontrolbetweenanypairofdatalinklayerserviceaccesspointsonaLAN.TheLLCproceduresareindependentofthetypeofmediumaccessmethodusedintheparticularLAN.Tosatisfyabroadrangeofpotentialapplications,threetypesofdatalinkcontroloperationareincluded(seeclause4).Thefirsttypeofoperation(seeclause6)providesadata-link-connectionless-modeserviceacrossadatalinkwithminimumprotocolcomplexity.Thistypeofoperationmaybeusefulwhenhigherlayerspro-videanyessentialrecoveryandsequencingservicessothatthesedonotneedreplicatinginthedatalinklayer.Inaddition,thistypeofoperationmayproveusefulinapplicationswhereitisnotessentialtoguaran-teethedeliveryofeverydatalinklayerdataunit.ThistypeofserviceisdescribedinthisInternationalStan-dardintermsof"logicaldatalinks."Thesecondtypeofoperation(seeclause7)providesadata-link-connection-modeserviceacrossadatalinkcomparabletoexistingdatalinkcontrolproceduresprovidedinInternationalStandardssuchasHDLC(seeISO/IEC13239:1997).Thisserviceincludessupportofsequenceddeliveryofdatalinklayerdataunits,andacomprehensivesetofdatalinklayererrorrecoverytechniques.ThissecondtypeofserviceisdescribedinthisInternationalStandardintermsof"datalinkcon-nections."Thethirdtypeofoperation(seeclause8)providesanacknowledged-connectionless-modedataunitexchangeservice,whichpermitsastationtobothsenddataandrequestthe
