【摘要】:EachFacilityRatingScaleinthisclassificationprovidesameansforestimatingthelevelofserviceabilityofabuildingorfacilityforonetopicofserviceability,andforcomparingthatlevelagainstthelevelofanyotherbuildingorfacility.Thisclassificationcanbeusedforcomparinghowwelldifferentbuildingsorfacilitiesmeetaparticularrequirementforserviceability.Itisapplicabledespitedifferencessuchaslocation,structure,mechanicalsystems,age,andbuildingshape.Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatetheamountofvarianceofserviceabilityfromtargetorfromrequirementforasingleofficefacilityorwithinagroupofofficefacilities.Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatethefollowing:(1)theserviceabilityofanexistingfacilityforusesotherthanitspresentuse;(2)theserviceability(potential)ofafacilitythathasbeenplannedbutnotyetbuilt;and(3)theserviceability(potential)ofafacilityforwhicharemodellinghasbeenplanned.Theuseofthisclassificationdoesnotresultinbuildingevaluationordiagnosis.Buildingevaluationordiagnosisgenerallyrequiresspecialexpertiseinbuildingengineeringortechnologyandtheuseofinstruments,tools,ormeasurements.Thisclassificationappliesonlytofacilitiesthatarebuildingconstructionsorpartsthereof.(Whilethisclassificationmaybeusefulinratingtheserviceabilityoffacilitiesthatarenotbuildingconstructions,suchfacilitiesareoutsidethescopeofthisclassification.)Thisclassificationisnotintendedfor,andisnotsuitablefor,useforregulatorypurposes,norforfirehazardassessmentorfireriskassessment.1.1Thisclassificationcoverspairsofscalesforclassifyinganaspectoftheserviceabilityofanofficefacility,thatis,thecapabilityofanofficefacilitytomeetcertainpossiblerequirementstoaccommodatechangesinworkingmethod,andfrequentrelocationsofstaff,andrealignmentofworkstations.1.2Eachpairofscalesshownin,printedsidebysideonapage,areforclassifyingonetopicofserviceabilitywithinthataspectofserviceability.EachparagraphinanOccupantRequirementScale(see)summarizesonelevelofserviceabilityonthattopicthatoccupantsmightrequire.ThematchingentryintheFacilityRatingScale(see)isatranslationoftherequirementintoadescriptionofcertainfeaturesofafacilitythat,takenincombination,indicatethatthefacilityislikelytomeetthatlevelofrequiredserviceability.1.3TheentriesintheFacilityRatingScale(see)areindicativeandnotcomprehensive.Theyareforquickscanning,toestimateapproximately,quickly,andeconomicallyhowwellanofficefacilityislikelytomeettheneedsofoneoranothertypeofoccupantgroupovertime.Theentriesarenotformeasuring,knowing,andevaluatinghowanofficefacilityisperforming.1.4Thisclassificationcanbeusedtoestimatethelevelofserviceabilityofanexistingfacility.Itcanalsobeusedtoestimatetheserviceabilityofafacilitythathasbeenplannedbutnotyetbuilt,suchasoneforwhichsingle-linedrawingsandoutlinespecificationshavebeenprepared.1.5Thisclassificationindicateswhatwouldcauseafacilitytoberatedatacertainlevelofserviceability,butitdoesnotstatehowtoconductaserviceabilityratingorhowtoassignaserviceabilityscore.ThatinformationisfoundinPracticeE1334.ThescalesinthisclassificationarecomplementarytoandcompatiblewithPracticeE1334.Eachrequirestheother.
